Media are invited to attend a private viewing on Tuesday, 02 June, from 4 to 7pm of the UK�s first showcase of Mozambique�s Contemporary Art at the Royal Geographic Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London, SW7 2AR.

The exhibition includes three paintings by Naguib on loan from the Mozambique National Art Museum, Maputo. There will also be an opportunity to meet one of the artists, Joao Donato who was born in Maputo and is now currently living and working in London.

Today�s preview attracted an enthusiastic response from RGS members; "absolutely wonderful, especially the water colours", "we really enjoyed the colours and paintings, especially liked the sculptures" , "enjoyed this very much especially the Vania Lemos, sculpture and Mendonca paintings".

The exhibition is open to the public from June 2 to 5 from 10am to 5pm. Barring the on loan paintings, all other works of art are available for purchase.
