Media Invitation: India�s Uttaranchal State To Unveil New Travel Concepts At WTM

We would like to invite you to a presentation from Uttaranchal, the new tourism state in India, to be led by Mr T.P.S. Rawat, Honourable Minister for Tourism, Government of Uttaranchal, and Mr A.K. Jain, Secretary of State for Tourism, Culture & Information of Uttaranchal. The presentation takes place on Monday 14th November between 12 - 1pm in Platinum Room 6. Created just five years ago from land in northern Uttar Pradesh, the state of Uttaranchal sits in north-east India, bordering Tibet and Nepal to the east and reaching the Indian Himalayas to the west.

Minister Rawat and Secretary Jain will unveil two new tourism products that are to be launched to the UK market, covering Indian mythology and the history of colonial northern India. The region boasts internationally renowned ayurvedic facilities and 'the world's best destination spa' as nominated by Cond� Nast Traveller and Tatler. An ayurvedic doctor will introduce the conference and will be available for consultation afterwards. Media facilities: Press will be invited to apply for facility trips to Uttaranchal on the basis of the conference.
