Green with Desire: Can We Live Sustainably In Our Homes? Are Chicagoans ready to add �green� to their desires? Originally, apartments and houses were designed to fulfill particular expectations�such as comfort, convenience, and affordability, rather than conserve resources and reduce waste. A large-scale bright green house, along with eight case studies of Chicago-area housing types examine the meaning and consequences of our expectations as well as the relationship between the emotional and physical components that make up our homes. It is the greenest home in Chicago!
CCCP: Cosmic Communist Constructions Photographed - Fueled by massive immigration, technological innovation and new models of social organization, Chicago�in the 19th century�proved to be the focal point of an unprecedented boom. The city grew from 30,000 inhabitants in 1850 to nearly 1.7 million by 1900. CCCP explores how Chicago led the development of a new architecture that changed the practice of building worldwide. July 10October 3.
Chicago: You Are Here - An engaging permanent exhibition at the Chicago Architecture Foundation. Exhibit includes a scale model of downtown Chicago, along with images, artifacts and video presentations, encouraging visitors to explore the architecture, infrastructure and environment of Chicago.

Architectural River Cruise - CAF-certified expert docents interpret the world-class architecture along the Chicago River. A 90-minute narrated river cruise, with commentary on more than 50 architecturally significant sites, all from the perspective of the river.
BUS TOURS: Roots of Reform Bus Tour - This tour highlights efforts among women and minorities to improve Chicago�s urban condition. Tours are scheduled for select Thursdays and Sundays, June through September and depart from CAF, 224 S. Michigan Avenue.
Highlights by Bus - This three and a half hour bus tour highlights Chicago�s wide range of architectural influence and design, and covers 30 miles of the city including: the Loop, Hyde Park, the Gold Coast, several historic districts, university campus�, parks, and residential neighborhoods. The tour features an interior tour of Frank Lloyd Wright�s Robie House, as well as Mies van der Rohe�s IIT campus and the Rookery in downtown Chicago. The interior tour of the Robie House is given by the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust. Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30am.
Frank Lloyd Wright Neighborhoods by Bus - Four hour bus tour traces development of prairie style in Oak Park and River Forest amid world's highest concentration of Wright buildings.
