BUYERS AND SELLERS REGISTRATION BADGES: these will be issued in each registered delegate's  name and can be collected at the Luxperience Registration Desk located at Sydney Town Hall on Sunday 1st September between 1600 – 1630 or at the Overseas Passenger Terminal, ground floor from  0800  - 0830 Monday  September 2nd. Official badges guarantee you access to all 'open' events during Luxperience, so please ensure you wear them at all times.

For a comprehensive digital experience at Luxperience,  we have provided the Lux 13 Mobile Event Planner. From here you can access to up-to-date event information including your diary, a social media interface allowing you to tweet and let your followers know what you're doing at Luxperience and much, much more. You can download this invaluable helper via the Luxperience website www.luxperience.com.au

 

EVENTS AND FUNCTIONS AT  LUXPERIENCE.

 

EVENT 1 - THOUGHT LEADERS: The opening event at Luxperience is our thought provoking insight session into trends, predictions, obstacles and opportunities facing the high-end travel sector. The interactive debate takes place Sunday September 1 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at Sydney Town Hall, followed by a welcome reception 6.30pm to 8pm. Speakers include The Honorable George Souris MP, the New South Wales Minister for Tourism and Major Events, plus David McGonigal, author, Antarctic explorer, Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society; Lin Xu, Founder of China Luxury Travel Network; David Thomas, CEO of Think Global Consulting; Melinda O'Rourke, Managing Director of MO Luxury; and Sandra Leach, Managing Director of the Sandra Leach Company in the UK. Andrew Cornell, author and associate editor of the Australian Financial Review (AFR) will emcee the sessions.

 


EVENT 2 – AN EVENING OF LUXPERIENCE @ SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE
 - Monday 2 September from 7.00pm.

 

EVENT 3 –EVENING COCKTAILS at THE STAR – On Tuesday September 3, join us as we depart by ferry from Luxperience at the Overseas Passenger Terminal to the Star, Sydney's newest casino, hotel and entertainment venue (with stunning harbour and city views) for cocktails and social sundowners

 

PRESS BRIEFINGS:

  1. Media are strongly urged to attend the official press briefing  during Luxperience: on Monday 2nd September 0930-1030am . This will include LUXPERIENCE / VIRGIN AUSTRALIA /LUXURY LODGES OF AUSTRALIA. Additional presentations will be advised.

 

      Press briefings will take place in the private dining room at the Ocean Room restaurant located on the Mezzanine Level at  Overseas Passenger Terminal. (Further details will be sent out in the next update). 

LUXPERIENCE BUYER and MEDIA LOUNGE: The Luxperience Buyer and Media Lounge is graciously hosted by Air New Zealand. The lounge is located in the Overseas Passenger Terminal  on level 3 adjacent to and accessible from the main exhibition floor, Media are encouraged to use the Lounge for informal one-on-one interviews. Wi-Fi is provided. Coffee, tea and snacks are available  and the Lounge will be open 0830-1730 Monday to Wednesday, 2-4 September

 

INTERVIEWS: Journalists are free to arrange their own one-on-one interviews on site. In addition, interested journalists can participate in the special Exhibitor/Media one hour session 1730-1830 on Monday 2 September in which journalists can request interviews with specific exhibitors. Following this we hope you will join us at our Official Welcome Event at the Sydney Opera House.

 

As a courtesy note, Media should respect the privacy of any ongoing buyer-seller scheduled meetings taking place on the show floor of Luxperience during the exhibition times.

 

Throughout the Luxperience show period, Luxperience CEO Helen Logas will be in attendance and looks forward to talking personally to all media attending the event. Appointments with Ms Logas can be made through the Registration Desk or via email to kens@scottasia.net
