Maui Motorhomes Offer Customers an Exclusive Winery Haven Experience

Maui Britz

maui motorhomes has collaborated with some of regional Victoria's most-loved wineries to launch maui Winery Havens. This unique experience includes an overnight stay in your motorhome allowing travelers the chance to fully immerse themselves in the total winery experience.

Priced from just AU$140 per night, maui customers will be treated to a night amongst the vines, parking up in specific maui winery havens location and waking up to stunning vineyard views. Upon arrival at the winery each customer will receive a gourmet hamper for two featuring a bottle of the vineyard's wine and local delicacies to devour.

Kate Meldrum, GM of Marketing, said she is looking forward to bringing the Winery Havens concept to the Australian market.

“Following the great success of maui Winery Havens in New Zealand, we are excited to offer such a unique opportunity here in Australia, knowing that Victorians in particular love their food and wine.

“We are thrilled to make holidays more accessible in the King Valley, Rutherglen and Alpine Valleys areas, where we can offer overnight self-drive experiences that wouldn't otherwise be possible, alongside the chance for guests to interact with the local winemakers and learn about their craft,” said Kate. “Victoria is just the start of this campaign as we reach out to other wine regions to extend this around Australia”.

“When maui suggested the concept, we recognized the potential for the region right away and are delighted this has come to fruition. We look forward to welcoming local and international maui travellers to our stunning region” says Sara Quon, Chief Executive Officer, Tourism North East.

The maui Winery Havens experience will be available for travel from December 2014 at five stunning vineyards located in North East Victoria. Located within driving distance from one another, maui travellers have the choice to visit just one property or experience all five in the ultimate winery adventure.

Brown Brothers

Located in the lower reaches of the King Valley in North East Victoria, the Milawa Vineyard is the birth place of the Brown Brothers company. Surrounding the Epicurean Centre and Cellar Door, the Milawa Vineyard is the fruit source for renowned wines such as Patricia Noble Riesling, Shiraz Mondeuse & Cabernet and Dolcetto. It is also home to Brown Brothers grape retrieval and winemaking facilities where thousands of tonnes of grapes are crushed each vintage.

Dal Zotto

Each Dal Zotto wine is the blend of three elements; family, tradition and innovation - with one overarching philosophy- your origins are just as important as your future. The Dal Zotto philosophy begins with what is close to hearts – family. From rural life in Italy, to settling in the King Valley, to pioneering Italian grape varieties, the journey of Dal Zotto has been a shared one. Along the way, from the good times at the table to the appetite for discovery in the vineyard and winery, it is “La Famiglia” that has brought it all together.

Feathertop

Boyntons was established in 1989 by Kel Boynton and remains a family owned business. Feathertop Wines captures the essences of nature and the beauty and crispness of the Alpine Valleys which surround the winery. Mountain Feathertop, which is the commanding feature in the Alpine Valley , not only visually shelters the valley and influences the air currents, but it has defined the soil structure in which the grapes grow, providing the fresh Alpine spring water that flows and nourishes the vines.

St Leonards

Situated in the Rutherglen Wine Region, St Leonards is a picturesque and relaxing destination for wine enthusiasts and nature purists. A unique spot, in a loop of the Murray River, fast flowing and still mountain-cold, it's cooler and more peaceful than other vineyards nearby. Pelicans spiral down to the lagoon and glide silently through the reflections of the towering gums along the waterline. Lower temperatures help draw out the growing season to maximise the development of intense fruit flavours. St Leonards offers a mix of classic and curious varieties from, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Semillon, to lesser known Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc and Malbec, producing wines with vibrant fruit characters and great balance.

Cofield Wines is a boutique, family owned and operated winery, located in the heart of the Rutherglen wine district. The Cofield family have been treading the vineyards of Rutherglen for over 100 years. Now second generation winemaker Damien Cofield is at the helm and has a renewed focus on producing a range of top quality wines that are packed full of flavour and ready for your drinking enjoyment. Specialising in Sparkling wines, made using the Methode Traditionelle process, they also offer a wide variety of regional whites, Rutherglen reds, sweet and dessert wines made from premium grapes from across the region.
