Reinforcing the commitment to position Mato Grosso do Sul as a global hub for technology applied to tourism, the state continues to gain international recognition. By hosting the 3rd edition of FIDI (International Fair of Smart Destinations) in Bonito, the state reaffirms that its strategy goes beyond preservation, focusing on an ecosystem of smart management and technological innovation.
The selection of Bonito as the host destination for FIDI reflects and reinforces its successful track record in hosting high-impact conferences, such as AdventureELEVATE Latin America, which has chosen the state twice due to its infrastructure and expertise in adventure tourism events. For the state government, hosting FIDI and other major events is part of a strategic movement to foster discussions on governance, technology, and accessibility with experts from around the world.
The state has stood out for the practical application of technological solutions in public and environmental management. The Digital Voucher system used in Bonito is already recognized internationally as a benchmark for capacity control and sustainability through data-driven management. This innovative mindset is also reflected in female leadership and sustainable initiatives, including international discussions focused on women's leadership in the sector and cross-sector mobilization to contribute to global forums such as COP15.
“Hosting events of this magnitude demonstrates that Mato Grosso do Sul is not only an ecological sanctuary, but also a hub for tourism intelligence and technology. We are integrating government departments and mobilizing initiatives that balance economic development with absolute environmental preservation through smart tools,” highlighted the state administration in 2025, the year it hosted FIPI.
By hosting FIPI and attracting a wide range of global conferences, Mato Grosso do Sul further reinforces its prominent position. The state is establishing itself as a living laboratory where technology serves the purpose of creating more resilient, connected destinations aligned with global best governance practices.
