Mango To Host Largest Aviation Career Day At The Swartkops Air Show 10 - 11 May 2013

Mango Airlines

Low cost airline Mango will host its second aviation Career Day at the Swartkops Air Force Base on 10 and 11 May 2013.

The Career Day will comprise over 30 exhibitors within the aviation sector and provide learners and other interested parties with information and assistance on careers in the aviation industry.

Entrance to learners is at no cost on Friday 10 May between 10am and 3pm while Saturday 11 May air-show entrance fees apply. Mango launched its career and job shadow programme in Athlone, Western Cape earlier this year.

"This will be our largest Career Day expo ever," says Mango spokesperson Hein Kaiser. "Learners and all interested parties will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from across almost the entire sector to learn about the industry." Kaiser says that the range of exhibitors include South African Airways, SAA Technical, SA Express Airways as well as cabin crew, pilot and other engineering schools among others. "The Mango Career Day expo at the Swartkops Air Show will be a one-stop career and aviation enthusiast destination for information and advice."

Mango launched its Career Day and Job Shadow Programme late last year. It is aimed at educating learners and interested parties about potential career opportunities in the aviation sector. "We have thus far reached just over 14 000 learners over the first two events," says Kaiser.

Along with our partners, Mango expects to engage with thousands more this year. "We are an airline for all South Africans and for us meaningful interaction with tomorrow's leaders provides the opportunity to positively contribute to the future of both the aviation industry and our country."

The Mango Career Day takes place on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 May at the Swartkops Air Force Base while the Swartkops Air Show takes place on Saturday 11 May and is expected to attract over 35 000 spectators.

Air Show Bookings: Online-tickets are available at www.ticketbreak.co.za and Gautrain bus services are available from its Centurion station
