Opening in September, two sensational new multi million dollar water park attractions, never before seen in Australia, will complete the most intense period of expansion in the park's 15-year history.
The all-new themed area, Mammoth Falls, will include the Mammoth River Ride, where guests riding in giant six person rafts will speed down rapids in 4.5 metre-wide winding troughs for more than 200 metres.
Accompanying the Mammoth River Ride will be the Mammoth Plunge, where the same rafts will plunge down 80 metres over triple humps into a purpose-designed splash pool.
Guests will launch into both slides from a mighty tower rising 18 metres above the ground - a similar height to Wet'n'Wild Water World's existing Giant Speed Slide. The six person rafts will be delivered to the top (without riders) on a unique conveyor system.
Combined, the massive new slides will be two of the most thrilling six-person raft rides available in the world.
It will be complete at the same time as the Speed Coaster - a double barreled dose of sheer adrenaline. Guests will take off on the ultimate downhill tandem toboggan slide, slowing on an uphill rise and then sliding backwards to the exit point.
The Speed Coaster is unique to Wet'n'Wild Water World and features innovations never before seen in water slide design.
Wet'n'Wild Water World General Manager Steve Peet said the award-winning water park had developed to a scale which would place it squarely within the top 10 United States water parks.
"But we're certainly not resting on our laurels and we will keep developing and growing so that we provide the very best in world-class water park attractions and entertainment.
"As Wet'n'Wild Water World continues to grow in popularity, the new attractions will ensure we can keep up with the ever-growing demand during peak holiday periods," Mr Peet said.
"Most importantly, the new attractions will broaden the appeal and awareness of Wet'n'Wild Water World, while also enhancing the strength of the Warner Village Theme Park Group in drawing new and repeat visitors to the Gold Coast, particularly through the 3 Park Super Pass - Australia's premier theme park package."
The new developments follow the creation of the Super 8 Aqua Racer in 1998, followed by the development of a new, themed front gate and the addition of Terror Canyon 2 in September 1999.
