Book now to avoid disappointment!
Malvern Walking Festival 2021, reinstated after last year's Covid-19 cancellation, opened its website just 7 days ago for bookings - and the festival is already 77% sold out!
Held annually, and this will be the 16th event, the walks take place on and around the Malvern Hills in Worcestershire and Herefordshire in an area officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB).
The festival which runs from Saturday 29 May offers 57 different walks spread out over 9 days. Last held in 2019, 1200 walks were booked making it one of the largest walking festival in the country.
Bob Baldwin, Chairman of the festival said “ We were delighted to be able to put the Festival back on again after last year's cancellation and have been amazed at the speed and immediacy of bookings. It just demonstrates the pent-up demand amongst folk to get out there walk, exercise and most importantly socialise again with like-minded people. We've had to put in place a few Covid restrictions this year but it doesn't seem to have dampened walkers appetite to get back up onto the fabulous Malvern Hills “
Full details of the festival can be found on the website www.malvernwalking.uk where bookings can be made for the walks that are still available.
The choice of walks this year is as wide as ever including themed morning, afternoon, evening and all day walks – some short moving up to long distance challenges...
The MWF2021 is running under strict adherence to the current Government Covid guidelines and has been approved by the local authorities.
Full refunds will be given if any cancellations become necessary.
The Malverns are renowned as a health and well-being destination since the days of the Victoria Water Cure, and is the perfect destination for walking enthusiasts.
