Villa specialist Villa Select (www.villaselect.com), which has its biggest collection of properties in Mallorca, is preparing for a rise in enquiries as Love Island returns to ITV2 tonight - Monday 4th June.

The reality programme, which sees 11 sun-kissed singletons spend their summer looking for love (and a touch of fame) is filmed in villa on the east coast of Mallorca. It became the surprise hit of last summer, with even the broadsheet newspapers commenting on its appeal to a complete cross-section of viewers.

“Last year, demand for our Mallorca villas extended way beyond our traditional peak season,” said Villa Select's brand manager Becci Aldridge. “Our properties were almost fully booked right the way through to the autumn and I certainly attribute some of that sustained interest to the Love Island effect.”

Bookings are strong again for this year, but with Mallorca back on screen from tonight, it's not too late for Love Island fans to arrange their own group getaway to the Balearic island. Villa Select still has availability at a number of properties, including the following, with last minute discounts available for some weeks in June and July 2018:  

• Villa Casesnovas – That's 'Casesnovas', not 'Casanovas'…. Sleeping up to 11 guests, this property accommodates a group the size of the Love Island Villa Select considers this property the most extravagant amongst its selection in Pollensa and its quiet location and extensive grounds make it the ideal villa for entertaining. Even better, prices have been reduced for the remaining rental weeks in June and July 2018. The week commencing 23rd June now costs £2,850 – reduced from £3,700 (a reduction of 23%) and the weeks commencing 21st and 28th July are now available for £4,522 – an 8% reduction on the original price of £4,930. •  Villa Les Tires – This is another great option for a larger group, sleeping 10 across three double and two twin bedrooms. Villa Les Tires is designed for outdoor living, with a covered terrace including a brick built barbecue, traditional bakers oven and a large al fresco dining area. The lawned garden also features a 12-metre swimming pool. Save 25% on the week commencing 23rd June 2018 –now £1,826, reduced from £2,434; save 28% on the week commencing 30th June 2018 – now £2,194, reduced from £3,028; or save 14% on the week commencing 21st July – now £3,756, reduced from £4,389. Villa Les Tires also has availability in October 2018.

• Sant Vicente – Sant Vicente will suit guests who prefer a contemporary style of property. The villa has a large terrace with sunbeds, a daybed and a private pool, as well as a pool table and table tennis table. The property sleeps up to eight across four bedrooms and one of its key benefits is being within walking distance (under 800m) from the shops, restaurants and sandy beach of Cala San Vicente in the north of Mallorca. Rental prices at Sant Vicente start from £5,516 per week in June (valid for weeks commencing 15th and 22nd June). The villa also has availability on selected weeks in July, August, September and October 2018.
