Maitland's popular summer events program is back once again. From December to February, there will be a
program of free and affordable events that the whole family can enjoy running across the city.
The events program includes returning favourites, such as Dive in Cinema at East Maitland Pool, Street Eats and
Aqua Hire. There also some exciting new additions including Disc Golf, a special floating stage on the Hunter River
and more to be announced.

From January 6 to 23, explore the Hunter River by kayak or stand up paddleboard with Aqua Hire on Lorn Beach.
Or, if you need a break from the water, sit back and relax in one of our comfy beach chairs or tee up a game of
volleyball on the sand.

Stockade Hill Heritage Park in East Maitland will be transformed into a six hole disc golf course from 10 January
until 28 February. Participants can bring their own frisbee or pick one up from the Maitland Visitor Information
Centre for just $5, to fling through a series of challenging holes.

On Saturday 22 January, Changing Tides will see some of Australia's finest musos converge on the Hunter River
aboard a floating stage for an evening of live music, with the exciting line up to be announced next week.
Changing Tides is an alcohol free, all ages event, where the community can come down for the live music, a picnic
dinner and enjoy a pleasant summer night.

Maitland City Council Events Officer Beth Anastasiou says, 'whether you want to cool down and relax, explore the
City's amazing food offerings, or get out and play, there is something for everyone in Maitland this summer.
'There will be plenty of promotion on radio and social media encouraging visitors and residents to get out and
about, and 'Make It Maitland this summer' by sampling the City's unique mix of cultural experiences, cuisine and
all ages activities.'

Business and community groups are also encouraged to get involved and tell us about their events and activities
happening over summer by visiting mymaitland.com.au.
