Mahali Mzuri, a tented safari camp in Kenya and part of the award-winning luxury collection - Virgin Limited Edition, is thrilled to announce its involvement in the #KenyaLive campaign, the world's first live web broadcast of an extraordinary Kenyan bush to beach safari via Twitter's Periscope App.

The first of the live broadcasts from Mahali Mzuri will be available to view from 12th January until 13th January and will offer an unprecedented insight into the natural habitat of the lions in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy of the Maasai Mara.

The live night broadcasts will be the very first of their kind, as viewers follow lions hunting under the cover of darkness.

Sir Richard Branson commented: “I'm thrilled that Mahali Mzuri will be playing a part in the #KenyaLive campaign. This is a fantastic opportunity to see how the kings of the jungle interact, play, hunt and bond. The live evening broadcasts are the first of their kind and it's a true privilege to see these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. I'm certainly hoping to catch a glimpse of the action!”

The campaign in association with 'HerdTracker' and 'www.makeitkenya.com' will be using a combination of the most innovative filming technology in the world to capture all the action. #KenyaLive will consist of over 50 live broadcasts across 11 days allowing people from all over the world to experience this amazing journey.

The public can follow the live broadcasts via HerdTracker's Periscope channel from 7-18 January 2016. Visit discoverafrica.com/KenyaLive and register your email address to receive reminders for live broadcasts, which will be hosted live on periscope.tv/herdtracker and the Kenya Live safari microsite.  You can also follow @herdtracker and @makeitkenya on Facebook and Twitter for notifications on when broadcasts are going live.

Updates of the live broadcasts will also be posted to Make It Kenya's Facebook and Twitter, and HerdTracker's Twitter and Facebook pages. The broadcasts will be available on the Make It Kenya website so that if you're unable to tune in straight away you can go back and view everything there.
