Magical Moments at Europa-Park Winter Extravaganza 

Experience an unforgettable winter getaway for the whole family from November 28th through to January 10th 2016 at Germany's largest theme park, with European themed lands packed full of festive charm, amazing shows and seasonal surprises…

The most beautiful time of the year is fast approaching. Whilst many other theme parks close their gates for the winter season, Europa-Park truly comes to life, transformed into a haven of festive joy. Mercedes-Benz Hall is playing host to the grand James Rizzi ´Sonne, Mond, New York´ winter exhibition where visitors will enter a James Rizzi world in which there are many fun, curious and entertaining aspects for the whole family to discover interactively. There are more than 400 exhibits from Rizzi on show.

Meanwhile, beneath the snow covered trees surrounding 'Historic Balthasar Castle Park' a traditional German Christmas Market fills the air with the festive aromas of mulled wine, cinnamon spice, and freshly roasted almonds. Here visitors can browse quaint wooden stalls filled with seasonal gifts, crafts, and decorations - and of course sample the endless winter culinary delights that are on offer. Within this winter dreamland also lies the 'Medieval Christmas Market', conjuring up a majestic atmosphere of times long ago. Glowing fires and torch-lit paths guide visitors back into the everyday life of lords, ladies and knights. Special evening tickets are available for visitors who wish to experience these enchanting Christmas festivities after nightfall.

The park's numerous iconic attractions can also still be enjoyed during the colder season, whirling through snow-covered landscapes. The daring amongst you can take a ride on the spectacular 'WODAN – Timburcoaster', experience a 550m long flight across seven kingdoms on board ´ARTHUR – In the Minimoys' kingdom' - recently awarded ´Best Family Attraction in Europe´, or enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over Europa-Park on the 55m high 'Bellevue' big wheel, located in the Portuguese themed area and specially decorated for winter. If you'd like a fast and fascinating trip into the universe, take a ride on the dark coaster `Eurosat`. It is situated inside an imposing silver sphere, which is the symbol for the Quartier Français. The spacecraft races past planets and meteorites, through a breathtaking firmament and into a bright tunnel of lights, which brings you back to reality.
