Lyndey Milan, the energetic, multi-award-winning communicator, celebrity food and wine-consultant and presenter on all things gastronomic is proud to announce the launch of a number of exciting projects.
The first of these, with the newly formed Lyndey Milan Enterprises, is the Brilliant Cut Knife - where state-of-the-art technology meets design to create a knife with incredible sharpness, durability and cutting prowess. Developed in conjunction with Forever Knives Japan, this knife features a world-leading Titanium alloy blade. Sometimes called the space age metal, Titanium has a very low density, a high level of strength, is lightweight and lustrous, corrosion-resistant and has the ability to withstand extreme temperatures.
Combined with silver, ceramic and embedded with diamonds this extraordinary blade is the first of its type in the world - it will stay sharp up to 45 times longer than a steel knife and tackles all kitchen jobs such as slicing, chopping, shredding and dicing with ease and precision.
The second project is the December launch of a dedicated facility for culinary and lifestyle filming and photography in Artarmon, the Sydney Studio Kitchen. The studio will feature clever customised, interchangeable cabinetry components with equipment, crew and other services for hire.
The studio has made a commitment to meet the needs of advertising agencies and production companies which demand not just an elevated sense of design and functionality to enhance a product or a program's identity but also deliver production efficiencies.
Promising an innovative environment to showcase brands and shoot television content, the Studio will also provide post production solutions with a fully equipped edit suite on-site. Upstairs is Lyndey Milan Enterprises' new headquarters.
Project number three will have far reaching effects on the food doyenne's future. With her business partner, well-known financial expert, John Caldon, she has created a production company that will focus on unique television offers that will be filmed and marketed around the world.
"The core of my business will always be my enduring love for all things gastronomic - food, wine, people and telling the stories behind them. My new business ventures and these three projects combine perfectly to fuel that love," said Milan.
With this new workload, Lyndey has decided to leave ACP Magazines, her most recent role having been as Contributing Food Director at The Australian Women's Weekly.
"I have enjoyed my time again at The Weekly but some amazing opportunities are presenting in my life at the moment and I wish to focus on these projects," explains Milan.
Meanwhile, Milan's web site (http:/www.lyndeymilan.com), blog and twitter accounts are going from strength to strength. She is a regular guest on the Kerri-Anne Kennerley Show; and consults with the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, The Rocks Markets, Good Food & Wine Shows and Restaurant 10.
Milan is a Board Member of The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW and Chair of the Sydney Royal Wine Show and in demand as an MC and speaker. Community involvements include Tasting Success, a mentoring program for female chefs (as co-founder and Patron), in addition to ambassadorial roles with Breast Cancer Network Australia and Australia Day.
