A cooking class with a Michelin star trained chef in Andalucia, and a champagne and perfume masterclass in Paris are just two of the exceptional experiences that have been added to Peregrine Reserve's programme of small group and tailor-made journeys for 2014.
Launched in 2012 by Peregrine Adventures, which has been offering comfort-standard, small group adventure tours for 36 years, luxury travel operator Peregrine Reserve has introduced new itineraries in Andalucia, Champagne & Provence, Cuba, Argentina & Brazil and Mexico, as well as shorter journeys of 3 - 7 days in length in Guilin, Lhasa, Varanasi, Bhutan, Rome, Gallipoli, the Moroccan Sahara, Essaouira and Zanzibar.
Highlights of the 2014 programme include:
Taste of Andalucía (9 days from £3,170pp): Experience the tastes, flavours, towns and landscapes of Spain's Andalucía region. Enjoy the Royal Palace in Madrid before eating lunch at the tapas bars of San Miguel market, join the locals at a traditional flamenco show in flamboyant Seville, taste the wines and brandy of Jerez on a private tour of its best bodegas, learn to make the perfect paella in a cooking class led by a Michelin star trained chef, and stroll through the awe-inspiring Alhambra Palace in Granada with a local expert.
Cuba in Colour (9 days from £2,580pp): Discover the rich cultural heritage of Cuba, from the locals playing dominoes on the streets to the rum and cigars found everywhere. Cruise to Havana's Hotel Nacional in a classic American vintage car before enjoying a performance by the Buena Vista Social Club, take a private tour of one of Cuba's largest and most renowned cigar factories, wander the cobblestoned streets of Trinidad, and board a private charter for a cruise to Cayo Macho.
Peregrine Reserve offers stylish, boutique accommodation that reflects the destination's culture and architectural style, dining that introduces travellers to the very best local cuisine, and exceptional experiences that enhance travellers' connection with their destination, such as dining with Rajput royalty in Nimaj or taking a private walking tour around the rim of Mount Vesuvius with a volcanologist. Tours have a maximum group size of 12 or less, and are all available as private departures or tailor-made itineraries.
