Luxury Family Hotels' New Park Manor is all set for a busy summer with four new luxurious bedrooms added to the hotel, along with four new spa treatment rooms and a new conservatory style casual dining restaurant – the 'Vinery'.
The New Forest and the surrounding nature have provided the inspiration for the names as well as the interiors of the new suites and bedrooms, which will launch next month (July). The use of light soft background colours contrast with the natural materials, rich velvets by Osborne & Little and Bernard Thorp, textured wools and Designer's Guild flowery linens, to create a timeless mixture with a comfortable feeling in keeping with the hotel's 'home-from-home' atmosphere.
Renowned interior designer Hugo da Silva has created the bespoke bedroom furniture from solid oak wood[1] with soft edges giving it a natural and elegant feel.
The artwork was chosen to intrigue and surprise the guests; from fish headed men, to hidden stone sculptures inspired by the forest bird species, the pieces are sure to grab the attention of visitors large and small!
Set in the heart of the New Forest, with wonderful views over the surrounding woodland and heathland, the new family suite, Muntjac, is the most spacious and luxurious suite in the hotel and features uninterrupted views over the forest from the master bedroom. Muntjac is decorated in warm pinks, greys, blue and greens with soft velvet cushions on the easy chairs as well as on the crisp white bedding. Guests can relax in the super king size bed and enjoy the superb views. The bathroom is stocked with Voya products and features a freestanding bathtub for a really indulgent soak, plus a freestanding shower. The connecting children's bedroom has zip and link twin beds and is big enough to sleep three children. VILP (Very Important Little People) will love the knitted bunny cushions with floppy ears that are asleep on their beds. Guests staying in the Muntjac suite also have access[2] to the roof terrace which is a great place to have a relaxing morning coffee, read the papers, or a have a sundowner while enjoying the stunning views into the forest and beyond.
All of the new rooms are named after species of deer that can be found in the New Forest.
In addition to the Muntjac suite, there are three new double rooms which are ideal for smaller families, offering a luxurious feel in keeping with the surroundings and that have been decorated with a combination of bespoke furniture, plush soft furnishings and original artwork.
Sika is a large double bedroom with plenty of room for a child's bed. It also has access to the roof terrace with fantastic views. The spacious bathroom offers a separate bath as well as a walk-in shower. The roof terrace that it shares with the Muntjac overlooks the stunning grounds and forest.
Fallow is another large double with king size bed and is the perfect base for a small family. This cosy room in the eaves is decorated in muted beiges and pastels with accents of colour. The bathroom has a fresh feel and large walk-in shower with mosaic tiles.
Roe also offers guests with small children a lovely base with a bathroom that has a large walk-in shower as well as a separate bathtub. All of the new rooms are on the first floor directly above the spa and are fully air-conditioned.
From July, the hotel's Bath Spa will launch four stunning new treatment rooms located on the ground floor. The friendly and experienced therapists will be on hand to offer the very latest Elemis spa treatment therapies, including the BIOTEC Facial as well as Jessica nails, ensuring guests feel relaxed, renewed and recharged. The hotel's newly built Vinery offers the perfect setting for a spa lunch or an afternoon tea.
A swim in the 16-metre pool can be enjoyed whilst taking in the panoramic views; a soak in the outdoor Canadian hot tub also gives guests the chance to absorb the sights and sounds of the forest; outdoor treatments can even be arranged. Other facilities include thermal rooms (sauna, steam room and sanarium), hydrotherapy and spa pool, a Kneipps foot spa, experience shower and relaxation rooms. The spa is open to all guests who are staying at the hotel, but is also a popular choice for Spa Days for those who live locally.
Books, games and toys are provided in the hotel for children of all ages and there is two hours free childcare each day in the Ofsted-registered crèche.
B&B prices based on two adults are as follows: Fallow and Roe from £215, Sika from £305 and Muntjac from £495.
