Luxury Caribbean Resort Announces Opening of State-of the-Art Conference Centre

Casa De Campo

The luxury Caribbean Resort of Casa De Campo in the Dominican Republic has announced the opening of a new 'Marina Riverside Centre' event venue in November 2019.

Set on the shores of the Chavon river, the structure which offers an open-air tent design (allowing for indoor and outdoor space) is surrounded by sweeping river-edge views of both the Caribbean Sea and the nearby luxury marina.

The Marina Riverside centre features the most advanced technology with a capacity for up to 1,360 guests. It is expected to host large meetings, trade shows, award ceremonies, product launches, training, team-building activities, concerts, parties, weddings and more.

The venue has been designed to offer maximum security and exceptional privacy if needed, while the location means it can host late night events, without impacting other resort guests.

This unique set-up covers 12,246 square feet and allows for 798 guests in theatre configuration and 72 in a U-shape layout.

Receptions can accommodate up to 726 guests inside, with space for a further 634 outside.

The 7,000 acre luxury resort already features two large conference venues totalling 19,000 square feet of dedicated meeting facilities, with numerous smaller outdoor and indoor venues also available on-site.

Casa De Campo offers a complete range of state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. From simple projectors to the technology required for multi-language simultaneous translation, and everything in between. All equipment is set-up by experienced technicians and additional technical assistance is available.

The five star resort, located on the south eastern corner of the Dominican Republic is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. It features 247 hotel rooms and suites in addition to numerous luxury villas with private pools. Guests have a choice of 8 restaurants to choose from, six of which are included for those on all-inclusive basis.

Other facilities include a 370-slip Marina & Yacht Club, Polo & Equestrian Club and tennis centre with 13 courts.  This luxury Caribbean destination is also home to three championship golf courses designed by Pete Dye, including Teeth of the Dog, the #1 ranked golf course in Latin America.

Another highlight is Altos de Chavón – modelled on a 16th century village and offering boutique shops, museums, art galleries and a 5,000-seat Grecian-style amphitheatre inaugurated by Frank Sinatra in 1982.

Conference organisers looking for a venue for team building days, will be delighted to know that Casa De Campo offers a whole host of engaging activities. Popular team-building activities that have historically proved popular include a Scavenger Hunt through the cobbled streets of Altos De Chavon, a Beach Olympics or Donkey Polo - a fun game using a broom, rather than polo sticks.

Punta Cana Airport is a 45 minute drive from the resort and a 9 hour direct flight from the UK.
