Luxperience

Hot on the heals of a third consecutive year of growth for Luxperience, news arrives that the Tourism Business Exchange has been ranked 27, in the 2014 SmartCompany Crowe Horwath Smart50 Awards.

With revenue of $1.6 million and a growth rate of 81.7 per cent at time of ranking, the award acknowledges what Luxperience has managed to achieve in a relatively short space of time.

“We're very proud to have been included in this very impressive list of businesses. It's proof of concept for us, that there was an opportunity for a tourism exchange such as Luxperience to bring together and showcase luxury and experiential tourism offerings,” said Founder Helen Logas.

Luxperience is the only tourism related business to be listed in the top 50.

“Luxury travel is no longer just about the perks of staying in a five-star hotel. People are looking for more immersive and self fulfilling experiences such as wellness retreats, exploratory journeys and philanthropic pursuits,” Logas told SmartCompany.

She added; "Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific regions have developed some of the most exciting and unique travel experiences in the world which are consistently gaining increased recognition and desirability amongst the High Net Worth Travel Market. They want a life-changing experience they will remember for the rest of their lives.”

Australia's leading small-medium businesses (SME's) were recognised at the 8th annual, SmartCompany Crowe Horwath Smart50 Awards, on Wednesday 17 September, at a cocktail ceremony in Melbourne.

SmartCompany, editor, Cara Waters said, “The Smart50 awards champion the small to medium businesses of Australia which are making a difference. These entrepreneurs are innovative and inspirational and it's great to be able to give them the recognition they deserve with these awards”.

“Awards like the Smart50 are an important reminder to the community about the importance small and medium enterprises play in providing jobs and creating livelihoods. While a lot of focus in the media is on big business, it is smaller enterprises which will ensure our economic prosperity following the mining boom”, said The Hon. Bruce Billson MP, Minister for Small Business and Member for Dunkley.

A total of 228 exhibitors attended Luxperience year, an increase of 53 per cent on last year's event. They were given the opportunity to meet with a pool of over 470 (up 56% from 2013) hand-picked specialist luxury and experiential buyers from both Australia and key global inbound markets.

Enquiries are now being taken for the three and a half day business exchange planned for 6-9 September 2015.
