Luxperience appoints Edward Chen to recruit delegates from North Asia

SYDNEY, FEBRUARY 2014 - Luxperience 2014 has appointed Edward Chen to focus on recruiting delegates for Luxperience 2014 from North Asia. Target markets include China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea.

 

This appointment comes on the back of the surge in international travel from Asia, and in particular China. The Asian market is of utmost importance to Luxperience 2014, both as a source for buyers, as well as sellers of exciting new products within the luxury travel market.

 

Edward has over 20 years of experience in destination marketing and is a highly recognised opinion leader in the Chinese tourism industry.  He spent 13 years in leadership positions for the Greater China market for Tourism Australia and Tourism Victoria. He also led the development of travel trade distribution networks and directed consumer marketing in the areas of brand public relations, advertising, digital marketing, social media and management.

 

Edward has been based in Shanghai for 12 years where he has developed an extensive network with high-level leaders in the Chinese media and outbound travel industry across leisure, luxury and MICE sectors.
