To celebrate the anniversary of Elvis and Priscilla Presley�s famous honeymoon in Palm Springs, the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism will be a hosting a special �Weekend With The King� event to take place from 8 to 11 May 2003.

The festivities, a must for all Elvis fans, will feature lectures from some of Elvis� closest friends about their lives with the legend as well as performances and competitions of Elvis tribute artistes from the various stages of his career all the way from the early leather Elvis to the rhinestone jumpsuit era Elvis.

Other highlights include a celebrity golf tournament and the opportunity to get a special peek of the �Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway�, where Elvis spent his honeymoon and much of his leisure time. The house, designed by Robert Alexander and maintained in its original 1960�s splendour, is a classic example of the mid-century modernist architecture that Palm Springs is renowned for.
