TravMedia's IMM Spring event in London this week attracted a record-breaking 210 leading travel journalists from across print, broadcast and online media.
Statistics released following the event reveal journalists and exhibitors collectively scheduled over 2850 meeting appointments ahead of the day-long event, using TravMedia's IMM Appointment Manager site.
Media titles attending IMM, held on 2 March at London's QEII Conference Centre, included The Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Sun, Daily Mail, Daily and Sunday Express, ITV's 'Lorraine', Channel 4 News, Wanderlust, Food and Travel, Bella, Fabulous, Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, Travel Weekly, ABTA Magazine and C&IT.
Some 94 exhibitors participated in the show, collectively represented by over 125 PR professionals. Brands included Visit Scotland, Italian National Tourist Board, Visit Kent, Visit California, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Expedia, trivago, Virgin Limited Edition, Holland America Line and Carnival Cruise Lines (full list below).
The event was making its first appearance at Westminster's QEII, central London's largest exhibition space, following three previous sell-out events in 2013 and 2014 at prestigious London hotels.
TravMedia's next event is IMM Autumn, taking place at the QEII on 30 October 2015 (www.travmedia.com/immuk). Once again, the day-long event will showcase travel and tourism brands to leading journalists.
Said Henry Hemming, TravMedia UK's Managing Director: “What a day! Huge thanks to every journalist and exhibitor who joined us at IMM's new home. For virtually every 15-minute time slot throughout the entire day over 90% of tables had a visitor, so the event surpassed our wildest dreams.”
