Sandra Shevey has been promoting sustainability of London`s ancient markets since 1990 when she started her company of London Street Market Walks.Sandra is concerned about the redevelopment which virtually `plagues` London and which threatens the very survival of these wonderful old relics.

Whilst Sandra does include some of the grander street markets within her cockney remit she personally endorses those in the more deprived areas of London. `These,` she says, `are the most idiomatic`.

Sandra invites journalists on one of her 3-hour market walks. Each walk spans 3 markets, and each market is characteristically diverse.

The portfolio is extensive and includes an early morning ramble; a late night prowl; a prose and poetry walk; a film location markets walk; and a social/historical walk with interior views.
