London Hilton Relaunching Brasserie

One of Hiltons flagship propertys, the London Hilton on Park Lane, is transforming its popular Park Brasserie with the new concept set to launch in early September.

The restaurant is being renamed Podium following a 500,000 refurbishment which will see the restaurant closed for several weeks and aims to take a modern approach to food and restaurant design.

Michael Shepherd, general manager at the hotel, said:

Podium will be a stylishly designed restaurant which serves contemporary, seasonal, food.

Upon completion, we will have a full complement of destination dining outlets with the reputation of Trader Vics firmly established and Galvin at Windows now recognised as one of Londons finest restaurants.

As well as serving Hilton Breakfast in the morning, an a la carte menu is being introduced for lunch and dinner using fresh, seasonal products sourced from specialist suppliers.

The new look and feel of the restaurant is the work of designers Aukett Fitzroy Robinson, with an overall colour scheme of silver, brown and taupe plus highlights of lime, yellow and aqua.

Dark mahogany wall panels will be changed to silver leaf or ivory glass and the stained glass windows, reminders of the hotels former proximity to a pub, are being removed in favour of American style blinds.

The restaurant will be open every day from 7am to 1am, midnight on Sundays.

Last summer, Hilton launched Galvin at Windows on the 28th floor of the hotel with Chris Galvin, now rated by many critics as one of the best in the capital.

In addition to its restaurants the London Hilton has recently launched private dining it its suites and its drinking venues include POP champagne bar and feng shui inspired Zeta Bar, voted on of Londons 20 coolest bars by the Evening Standard.
