LOCAL COLLABORATIONS SET TO IMPRESS

2018 has already established itself as a game-changing year for the Tweed region, stimulating interactions between local producers, distillers and musicians to showcase the beauty of the community.

Riding the immense success of the series of dining events in 2017, Mavis's Kitchen has opened its first alfresco event of 2018. Inviting all to indulge in the diverse range of sensations and flavors on offer, the Late Summer Fire Feast is set to showcase a strong Latin American influence in both design and cuisine.

Capturing a radiant atmosphere through an array of food centered around an open flame, guests will dine at long tables in the renowned garden whilst engaged with a crafted selection of musicians and feature beverages designed, mixed and served by Husk Distillers.

Mavis's Kitchen is a picturesque location for locals and visitors alike and is a regular venue for weddings and special events. Located in the stunningly serene Wollumbin, the home-style eatery, fresh local produce gardens and barn-style accommodation will impress all in attendance.

Held on the 10th of March, the Late Summer Fire Feast will prolong the ambience of summer, as Husk Distillers will showcase their locally distilled Spiced Australian Agricole Rum & Pure Cane Rum. Husk have won both Australian and American awards for their spirits and gin, making this tasting one to anticipate.

Continuing the trend of community association, local producers will be out in force during the first Micro Market on the 15th April. Featuring: Nourished Organics, Arvi the Local Organic Grower and Small Stall Travelling Plant Nursery, the Sunday Morning air will be immersed with local creation.

Locals and visitors are invited to grab a coffee, market-inspired garden breakfast and a patch of grass whilst they indulge in the talent of local musicians. The Micro Market is set to run each month, its relaxed setting stimulating an interaction between local chef's and producers of the Tweed.
