The Pavilion Spa, created in Lizard Island�s AUS$15million six-month refurbishment program in 2000, offers an earthy welcoming ambience. It is here that ancient secrets and essential elements provide total harmony between health, beauty and nature and guests find total relaxation.

From the Deep Sea Detox which includes a full body exfoliation followed by a body wrap using marine extracts to Sole to Soul, a top to toe treatment which begins with a rosemary and mint foot scrub and foot massage and ends with a Rose and Chamomile hair masque as well as a face and scalp acupressure massage, each of the signature treatments at the Pavilion Spa is a heavenly experience.

A Green Tea Geisha is one of the Pavilion�s most popular treatments � a signature treatment that is deeply cleaning and relaxing. In this two hour treatment, the skin is cleansed and exfoliated using a mixture of brown rice, sesame seed, green tea and sea salt. The body is then wrapped in a blend of Camelia oil, green clay, green tea and essential oils including cypress, juniper, lemon, grapefruit, geranium and sweet fennel. The treatment ends with a soothing 60min massage using a lotion of green tea and citrus.

For skin that has been too kissed by the sun, the Pavilion Spa Sunburn Soother is wonderfully refreshing. The body is wrapped in cooling mix of lavender, geranium and chamomile essential oils combined with avocado, aloe vera and yogurt. As the skin is cooled and nourished a head and foot massage relaxes the body and the treatment is finished with the application of an aloe vera gel. The Pavilion Spa also offers a range of facial, body and beauty treatments.

Travel details: Located 240 kilometres north of Cairns, 27 kilometres off the coast of North Queensland, Lizard Island is Australia's northernmost island resort and is part of one of the world�s most spectacular Marine National Parks, the Great Barrier Reef.
