Uncover Singapore's colourful heritage and savour the local flavours on the Far More Singapore campaign
Sydney, Australia – 3 June 2016 – Far East Hospitality, Singapore's largest operator of hotels and serviced residences, is once again inviting Australian travellers to go off the beaten track and explore Singapore like a local through its Far More Singapore promotion, highlighting the flavours and experiences of Singapore.
The annual promotion, previously called Far East Heritage Food Trail was originally launched in 2013 and has singularly lifted the number of Australians staying at Far East Hotels. Far East Hospitality CEO Mr Arthur Kiong, has commented that between 2013 and 2015, Australians staying with Far East Hospitality increased a stunning 30 percent.
“The increase in Australian travellers staying with Far East Hospitality defies the trend that Australian travel numbers to Singapore are fragmenting due to other competing Asian destinations. Our growth figure suggests the inverse of this and it's been gratifying to see how Australians have gravitated so strongly to the 'live like a local' flavour of the travel packages and services we offer.
“We are fortunate to have three Australian born and bred General Managers across our key properties. Having this local insight has meant we've been able to transform and shape our offering to suit Australian guests and offer home-away-from-home familiarity during their stay with us.
“As a result of this, we've been able to gradually shift perception with Australian travellers who previously saw Singapore as a stop-over destination and have now evolved their stay from three days to longer. We're committed to our Australian guests and will continue to add new products and services that resonate with them including; comfort without excess, being close to nature, and providing a focus on wellbeing and health.
“We are delighted to be able to offer the Far More Singapore promotion once again. We hope to help re-ignite Australian traveller passion for going off the beaten track and exploring Singapore like a local. The Far More Singapore campaign aims to let travellers create their own unique memories uncovering Singapore's colourful heritage and to connect with the authentic elements of Singapore, inviting them to eat like a local, play like a local and explore like a local.”
