See the real Thailand in just two action-packed days on Grasshopper Adventures' new Floating Markets and Walking Fish short break cycle tour.
Departing Bangkok, the weekend tour will have you riding bikes, trains and boats as you visit the many markets, mangroves and coconut plantations to the city's south-west.
Wander the trendy Amphawa Market, cycle past the world famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and marvel at the Mae Khlong Railway Market, where trackside vendors have to stop selling several times a day to let the trains through.
Foodies are well-rewarded on this trip, with delicious seafood, tasty local snacks and fresh fruit just plucked from an orchard all on the menu as you pedal around. Visits to a coconut plantation, sugar mill, salt fields and fresh produce markets are also on the itinerary, providing an eye-opening window on the local food industry.
The moderate 80km of cycling takes you past the Gulf of Thailand, bustling canals, ancient temples, lively fishing docks and the Khlong Khon Mangrove Conservation Center, home to the incredible walking fish.
Grasshopper's fully-guided tour includes great bikes, guesthouse accommodation, all meals and air-conditioned backup support vehicle.
