Live entertainment is OnStage once again this summer at Bournemouth Pier Approach
OnStage will be hosting a minimum of 25 exciting and varied performances, on Bournemouth's Pier Approach open-air stage this summer.
From 21 July there will be 16 days of free, live entertainment on the seafront, with the OnStage programme set to include cover bands, tribute acts and original music, across a variety of genres right up to Saturday 6 August.
The events will take place every evening, as well as late afternoon. With a wide choice of entertainment on offer, there's bound to be something to pique your interest. Here's a taste of some of this year's live music there is to look forward to:
- Fluke – An eclectic covers band, Thursday 21 July 7.30-9.30pm.
- The Producers – An award winning Blues band on their 25th anniversary tour, Friday 22 July 8-10pm.
- Mother Ukers – a quirky trio of ukulele players wowing you with covers and originals, Friday 29 July 3-5pm.
- The Stereoironics – the renowned Stereophonics covers band, Tuesday 2 August 7.30-9.30pm.

The OnStage events are just one part of the fabulous free entertainment on offer in Bournemouth this summer, with the Friday Fireworks grand launch event kicking off 29 July at 7pm – featuring some great additions throughout the Lower Gardens, such as a fire show, circus workshop, stilt walkers and much more. The Friday Firework displays will then continue for 5 weeks at 10pm, with the finale taking place on 26 August. Bournemouth also continues its time honoured tradition of weekly Candlelight Nights on Wednesdays, 3-24 August from 7.30pm, beautifully lighting the Lower Garden walkways right down to the seafront.
Let's not forget the biggest event of all in the Bournemouth summer calendar too, the magnificent Bournemouth Air Festival 18-21 August! With impressive displays from the astounding Red Arrows every day at 3.45pm as well as other incredible aircraft and displays. The Night Air concerts will also be on at Boscombe Pier during the evenings of festival, with the Scottish band Travis headlining on the Saturday night.
