For the first time the Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in the UK presents Taste of Lithuania at Taste of London 2013. Visitors will be treated to Lithuanian folk dance and music with Lithuanian Tourism Ambassador, accordion virtuoso Martynas Levickis performing, as well as tips and tricks of traditional handicrafts and of course an array of Lithuanian food and drink sure to please every foodie's taste.

Famous producers from Lithuania will introduce guests to delicious foods at the 1,000sqm stand including extraordinary cheeses, meat products and freshly baked breads and drinks from the Bar zone on the stand that perfectly complement any meal. Dessert lovers will not be forgotten either as they will be offered to indulge themselves with luxury ice cream.

Now is a perfect time to visit Lithuania itself and enjoy the nation's cuisine from the infamous cold beetroot soup (pictured) with its striking purple appearance to sampling fresh fish staying in the homesteads along the shores of the Curonian Lagoon.

Taste of London now in its 10th year is firmly established as the 'World's Greatest Food and Drink Festival' attracting 50,000 visitors each year. It continues to be a truly unique event where discerning and knowledgeable "foodies" can sample the best signature dishes from the biggest names in the industry, all set in the beautiful surroundings of Regent's Park. 

The event comes just over a week before Lithuania is set to take over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first time from 01 July 2013 until January 2014. To signify such a huge occasion Lithuanian Tourism Ambassador and Decca Classic's latest signing Martynas Levickis, will be headlining the Lithuanian Embassy Concert on 01 July 2013 at St. John's, Smith Square, London. A string of events will also be hosted throughout Lithuania in the second half of the year to celebrate the presidency.

Martynas Levickis was named official Tourism Ambassador for Lithuania following his signing to Universal Music in May. He is a star in his native Lithuania as a world-champion accordionist and is soon to be a star the world over. The aim of the appointment is to encourage Martynas' UK fans to travel to Lithuania on holiday. Martynas will release self-titled Decca Classics debut this summer as first ever accordionist to sign for the label in its long history
