Links House At Royal Dornoch Set For First Christmas As It Invites Guests To Make The Highland Country Manor Hotel Their Festive Home-From-Home

Links House

Links House at Royal Dornoch has established itself as one of Scotland's finest small luxury hotels. Now, as it prepares for its first Christmas since opening, it is offering guests the chance to enjoy a truly memorable Christmas and New Year 2013 by making the country manor hotel and the picture-postcard village of Dornoch their Highland 'home from home' for the festive period.

What could be more decadent than spending the festive period in the beautiful Scottish Highlands enjoying sumptuous dinners, brisk beach walks against a backdrop of snow-dusted peaks and a taste of real Highland hospitality in the picturesque village of Dornoch? And what could be more fun than enjoying a traditional Scottish New Year celebration in this romantic Royal Burgh, culminating in a midnight lament by a lone piper and ceilidh in front of the village's 13th century cathedral as the New Year arrives?

To give guests a taste of true Highland hospitality Links House at Royal Dornoch has put together some fantastic festive break packages.

Christmas at Links House is a fantastic package including: three nights in one of Links House's bespoke luxury guest rooms; a four-course Christmas Eve dinner followed by Midnight Mass in the historic Dornoch Cathedral; a Christmas Day Bucks Fizz breakfast and sumptuous Christmas feast; and a grand Boxing Day dinner.

Guest will also have lots of free time in between celebrations to take advantage of the hotel's coastal location by enjoying beach walks, bike rides or even a game of golf on Royal Dornoch's Championship Course, which is open year-round with the exception of Christmas Day. Equally, guests are invited to luxuriate in the hotel's surroundings enjoying an endless supply of mulled wine, Christmas cake and board games.

This festive three-night break from December 24th until the 27th costs £825pp (based on two sharing).

Similarly, New Year at Links House is a decadent three-night package from December 30th 'til January 2nd including glamorous drinks receptions, fireworks displays, Black Tie dinners and the opportunity to 'see in' the New Year with a 'Hogmanay' (New Year's Eve) ceilidh in Dornoch's picturesque village square.

Nothing quite beats a Scottish New Year, joining the locals for a champagne - or malt whisky - toast and a rousing chorus of Auld Lang Syne in the street before heading out on New Year's Day to blow away the cobwebs with a round of golf on Royal Dornoch's Championship Course.

New Year at Links House costs £900 pp based on two sharing. Single occupancy is £1500 pp.

Subject to availability Links House is also available for the ultimate decadence: Exclusive Use for your family or group of friends for Christmas or New Year. Exclusive use of Links House for Christmas from £5,500.
