Back by popular demand, Karina Stewart, Founder of the Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary and Holistic Spa Resort in Koh Samui, returns to Hong Kong and Singapore for a series of events with luxury tour operator, Lightfoot Travel.
Lightfoot would like to invite journalists in both cities to a press lunch with Karina, where she will discuss her background, the philosophy behind the resort and its programs, and touch into the nutrition and detox angles that she will be speaking about at Lightfoot client events in Hong Kong and Singapore.
“A wellness holiday is often the kick-starter that Lightfoot’s clients need, as it is the complete antithesis of their stressful city lives. Kamalaya answers our body’s need for balance and holistic nutrition, and gives us advice for cleaner living and boosting our immunity through things like superfoods and relaxation techniques. The Kamalaya ‘reset button’ is a way of reintroducing forgotten mindfulness into our lives, says Lightfoot Travel Director Lucy Jackson who visited Kamalaya last year.
Dr. Karina Stewart has 22 years of experience in the study and practice of diverse Asian healing and spiritual traditions. Her impressive list of accomplishments include founding a health centre in Kathmandu, Nepal, and designing and directing a medical detoxification program in California and facilitating her ‘Awakening’ retreats in several cities. These experiences helped Karina form the vision that is behind Kamalaya’s integral wellness programs, which aim to access the inner healing power within each individual and support a harmonious integration of heart, body, mind and spirit.
The resort of Kamalaya itself is beautifully nestled on a leafy cliffside overlooking a tranquil bay. Accommodation ranges from charming single hillside rooms to giant 2-bedroom beach front villas, with many options in between. The cuisine at Kamalaya is fresh, organic, and most importantly incredibly varied (alcohol is allowed!). Kamalaya transcends the usual spa experience to offer opportunities for self-discovery and life enhancement through diverse traditions of healing and holistic lifestyle concepts. Their menu includes Ayurvedic therapies, Traditional Chinese medicine, naturopathy, homeopathy, emotional healing and other holistic services. Optional daily classes range from Pilates, yoga, chi gong and meditation to core fitness classes and cardio workouts.
Karina is also in town to announce the introduction of a brand new wellness program that will launch on April 1st, so make sure you’re the first to get the scoop!
