Enduring hitmakers to ring in the New Year with their first-ever Macao performance

New Year's Eve partygoers have an exciting opportunity to put on their “Boogie Shoes” and “Get Down Tonight” at Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao Dec. 31, as the one-and-only KC and the Sunshine Band head to Macao for the first time to headline a festive year-end countdown at The Venetian® Macao. Tickets for the New Year's Eve Gala at The Venetian Ballroom are available now through Cotai Ticketing.

The Grammy Award winners have been keeping fans on their feet ever since their heyday in the 1970s, when they became the first act since the Beatles to score four No. 1 pop singles in one 12-month period. Their unique fusion of R&B and funk is credited with changing the sound of modern pop music and has helped them sell over 100 million records to date.

Their music has stood the test of time, as concertgoers still dance to hits like “That's the Way (I Like It),” “Shake Your Booty,” and the aforementioned “Boogie Shoes” and “Get Down Tonight” at more than 100 live shows annually, with the group performing regularly throughout the United States, Europe, Australia and South America. Now it's Macao's turn to infuse its New Year's Eve with the band's infectious energy for the first time.

With a theme of Light Up 2015, the New Year's Eve Gala promises guests an unforgettable night of music, dancing, top-class entertainment and gourmet food to celebrate the end of the year in elegant style. Revellers will stay entertained throughout the evening with featured festivities such as:

• Four courses of delectable food including lobster, foie gras and wagyu beef
• Half a dozen different entertainment acts, headlined by KC and the Sunshine Band, and including 2013 Cotai Jazz & Blues festival finalists Andy Frasco and the UN, and singers from the hit show  “The Voice of China” – Season 3 champion Zhang Bichen and Mo Haijing, contestant from mentor Yang Kun's group, and singer of “The Voice of China” theme song
• A countdown to 2015 that will include a live feed of the pyrotechnic display outside The Venetian Macao
• A lucky draw that will see guests winning amazing prizes
