LET'S SHAKE-IT-OFF - General Manager “PK” Dancing “Damas”

Walking through the Nanjing Road East , Shanghai , you will immediately be attracted by a goup of famous and passionate dancing aunties at the square called ”guangchangwu damas”.  Put on your dancing shoes, as you will discover among the midst, a talented dance team moving to “shake-it-off” lead by Benjamin Zahn, General Manager of Le Royal Meridien Shanghai on 25 September 2015 to launch the signature dish of “Deep Fried Small Yellow Fish with Seaweed 'Shanghai' Style”, a start of an entire signature dish series at Ai Mei Chinese Restaurant

This signature dish is not only a creation utilising the local food materials for the traditional flavor and taste, but also a mixture of the new concept of the food spirit for entertainment.  The Executive Chef Joe Diaz and Chinese Executive Chef Peter Cheung were inspired by vitality of the dancers downstairs the Hotel building, which has become a iconic scene in Nanjing Road of Shanghai, reflecting Shanghainese' passion for life.

The “Deep Fried Small Yellow Fish with Seaweed 'Shanghai' Style” tastes fresh, delicious , super crispy on the outside and tender inside. The chefs specially selected the freshest small yellow fishes every morning from the market. The fishes are coated with a mixture of flour and seaweed and deep fried in 250 C º till golden. The fried fishes is then shakened with crunchy peanuts, aromatic pepper, salt and garlic powder in the shaker. This signature dish is one of the most pupular dishes voted by Ai Mei Chinese Restaurant's regular guests, and represents Shanghai local dining culture.  Guests can savor this creative signature dish at RMB68net/dish with a presentation of the unique “shake-it-off” dance.
