Leica Relaunches the Iconic Trinovid Binoculars in Celebration of the Model That Joined the 1969 Apollo Moon Mission

Leica Sport Optics

Leica Sport Optics is relaunching an observation classic, the Leica Trinovid. The new Trinovid binoculars pay tribute to the original Leitz Trinovid which were a style icon appreciated worldwide by scientists, nature observers, ornithologists and travellers. In 1969, NASA opted to send a Trinovid with the Apollo 11 moon mission. The relaunched Trinovid is elegantly shaped taking inspiration from the iconic glass of the 1960s featuring a smart black leather casing, making them a timeless accessory and rugged companion all in one, just in time for Christmas.

The Leica Trinovid offers precise, powerful premium optics with superior field of view and impressive orientation. Using the latest optical glass and coatings, the user is guaranteed brilliant, natural colours with high contrast and bright images from edge-to-edge. Protected by ultra-light aluminium housing and state-of-the-art materials, the new Trinovid binocular is robust, splash-proof and weatherproof.

Reliable in challenging conditions, the Trivovid binoculars are suitable for a variety of uses from wildlife observation to hiking, as well as a stylish accessory for a variety of sporting events including horse and motor racing.

New Leica Trinovid in three variants

The Leica Trinovid is available in three magnifications. The compact 7x35 is a popular light weight travelling companion and easy to fit in a pocket or a small handbag. Offering superior field of view, the 7x zoom can scan blur-free scenery with maximum overview.

The Leica Trinovid 8x40 delivers impressive clear, bright images, best overview and detail recognition. The 8x zoom makes this model an ideal choice for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

The 10x40 Trinovid model with a 10x magnification allows users to recognise the smallest details and is still a lightweight option. The perfect companion for safari or other wildlife encounters.
