New Programme:  Powder Byrne are launching their new summer programme in Sotogrande, Spain this summer.  This programme aims to introduce clients to the delights of this unique holiday paradise, with a totally bespoke programme of active and exciting sports which includes an introduction to their new venture, Polo Valley.

Location:  Situated in the stunning Andalucian region of southern Spain just 45 minutes from Gibraltar, 1 ½ hrs from Malaga airport and 1 hr from Jerez.   It is located in the municipality of San Roque (Cadiz), and has excellent road connections to many important tourist and cultural regions of southern Spain.

The Resort:   Powder Byrne's new operation at Sotogrande is based from their exclusive private villas, apartments and hotels.   Their luxury accommodation is conveniently located to be near their new venture at Polo Valley.   As well as exclusive access to the Polo Valley ranch facilities, clients can also enjoy an array of other sporting activities such as tennis, golf, sailing, cycling and, of course, all the beach activities to be found nearby.  Powder Byrne's new summer programme aims to introduce clients to the delights of this unique holiday paradise, with a totally bespoke programme of active sports, which focuses on learning to play polo, but with plenty of time for other activites and rest and relaxation.     As with all PB Resorts, Sotogrande and the surrounding region offers some wonderful restaurants to enjoy offering a wide choice of cuisines from  Andalucian regional food to Argentinian steak houses – thanks to the area's Polo heritage.   Powder Byrne has carefully selected a superb choice of luxurious accommodation so they can tailor arrangements to suit any party's needs.  This holiday is suitable for families, with children from 8 years and above who are looking for new experiences to enjoy together.

PB Exclusive Service and Programme in Sotogrande:

• Polo Valley:  This unique venture gives families the opportunity to try their hand at this exciting sport.    As with skiing which the company is so renowned for, the exhilarating sport of Polo can be experienced and enjoyed by all the family together.     The programme includes riding tuition (you don't need to have ridden before), horsemanship, introduction to polo, stick and ball skills sessions and practice plays with the PoloValley coaching team, but all tailored to individual clients.   The programme which offers morning and evening sessions is entirely flexible, and Powder Byrne will structure the holiday, with time out to relax, so clients dictate how much action and relaxation they have.  PB clients have the run of the PoloValley facility, creating a unique ranch experience. 
• Powder Byrne Resort Service:  Powder Byrne will be operating their full resort service at Sotogrande this summer during May half term, July & August.  This includes private meet-and-greet and transfers from airport, in-resort support, local transport around the area, shopping errands, booking of babysitting, restaurant reservations,  and booking of all sports activities.  The Resort team will ensure that clients really do make the most of their time in the region.  The resort team acts as a seamless link with colleagues at PoloValley for polo sessions. 

Sotogrande Facilities:

Sports:  Purpose built polo ranch, polo instruction, tennis, sailing, golf, beach activities, cycling.  The world-famous Almenara and Valderrama golf courses are both nearby.

Gastronomy:  Andalucian cuisine, tapas, international cuisine, Argentinian steak houses, beach bars all available to enjoy.

Local culture:  Andalucia is renowned for its varied history and culture and the local village of San Roque is no exception.  With classic narrow streets and whitewashed houses it is perfect for an evening wander to explore the local shops, bars and restaurants.
