Heritage Le Telfair Golf and Spa Resort- twice winner of “Best Golf Resort in Mauritius” in the World Travel Awards- is bringing Tour Master Classes to Mauritius, an innovative and exciting new golf academy. Golfers will have the opportunity to be taught by some of the European Tour’s top professionals, and to play and practise with them on one of the finest golf courses in Mauritius, Heritage Golf Club.

There will be a series of Tour Master Classes over the coming year, with the first event scheduled for this October.  The team of coaches, all winners of major events on the European Tour, includes players such as Mark James, Ryder Cup captain, Tony Johnstone, Costantino Rocca and Scott Drummond - all winners of the PGA Championship- as well as Jamie Spence, winner of the European Masters, and many others.

Former winner of the European Masters and creator of Tour Master Classes, Chris Moody, explains that the Tour Master Class programme is not just about teaching swing technique. “There is so much more to playing golf than simply hitting the ball. At Tour Master Classes we analyse all aspects of the golfer’s game.  They learn essential skills such as preparation, course management, short game techniques and much more.  These are all skills that every handicap player can learn, but are seldom taught, and they will make a real and permanent improvement to their game. Most importantly they also play with our Tour players and learn at first hand how to apply these techniques on the course and lower their scores”, he says.

The five-day courses, each to be hosted by a different member of the Tour Master Classes team, will consist of 4-5 hours of tuition and play per day, starting early before the full heat of the day so that golfers have ample time to enjoy the many other attractions offered at Heritage Resorts with their families. 

The first academies are scheduled the week of 1st – 6th October 2013 and 2nd – 9th December 2013, with further dates planned for 2014. The cost of the course is £1,500 per person.
