On September 12 (12:30pm - 2:30pm), learn “The Art of Pu-Er” at a seminar with Tea Sommelier Kelvin Ng at InterContinental Hong Kong's 2-Michelin star Yan Toh Heen.
The class is HK$888+ 10% service per person, inclusive of tea-pairing with Chef Lau Yiu Fai's signature dim sum and a selection of Yan Toh Heen's homemade moon cakes.
With a wealth of experience pairing Chinese tea with Cantonese cuisine, Yan Toh Heen's Tea Sommelier Kelvin Ng (the first tea sommelier in Hong Kong), will share his in-depth knowledge of Pu Er, which is considered the best tea to pair with dim sum and moon cakes.
The class will feature three different Pu Er teas:
- Bu Lang Mountain Centennial Pu Er paired with Yan Toh Heen's signature Dim Sum.
The Dim Sum selection includes Yan Toh Heen Superior Dumplings: Steamed Scallop with Black Truffles and Vegetables Dumpling, Steamed Lobster Dumpling with Bird's Nest and Gold Leaf and Steamed King Crab Leg Dumpling with Green Vegetables
- Menghai Tippy Pu Er paired with Golden Crabmeat, Mango and Avocado in Puff Pastry, a Golden Bun with Duck Liver and Taro and Crispy Rice Paper Roll with Seafood, Peach and Almonds and Inaniwa Noodles with Crab Claw in Fish Bouillon.
- Limited Reserve Extra 53 Year Old Pu Er paired with Yan Toh Heen's Moon Cake Selection: Lotus Seed Paste & Double Salty Egg Yolk Moon Cakes, Spanish Iberico Ham & Mixed Nut Moon Cakes and Custard Cream & Gold Dust Moon Cakes
Participants will receive a small package of Pu Er tea as a souvenir.
