Travel Department, Ireland's leading tour provider of guided group holidays, have reinvented a previous tour of the southern states of the USA to appeal to music lovers of every genre.
Recently launched, travellers who book a guided tour to the Music Capitals of the South will be able to experience various cities that have contributed to different music genres, including New Orleans, Memphis and Tupelo.
Travel Department have taken the time to make sure all the sights and excursions their customers would want to experience are included in the itinerary whilst making sure every journey is comfortable, no matter how long. Flights, transfers, accommodation, excursions and a local expert guide are all included in the price.
The new 10-night holiday starts in New Orleans with a walking tour through the Vieux Carré part of town and free time to enjoy the city's unique architectural styles and large antebellum mansions. Next is Natchez, rich in fascinating history, leading onto Tupelo, the birthplace of Elvis Presley; visit the town and sites of his childhood, including where he was born. Moving onto Memphis, the home of the blues and rock 'n' roll, this city tour will uncover music highlights and finish at the famous Sun Studio, the most famous recording studio in the world.
In addition to Elvis Presley's birthplace, there will time spent in Graceland, the last home and museum of the 'King' before travelling to Nashville known as 'Music City USA'. A visit to the country music hall of fame and a tour of the Nashville's oldest remaining recording studio, RCA Studio B, are part of the itinerary. Admission fees are all included in the overall holiday price, so the only additional costs will be tipping and certain meals.
