Queenstown’s Over The Top – the helicopter company has once again received the prestigious Helicopter Association International (HAI) Operator Safety Award.
The International Helicopter Association awards Operators worldwide for the safe operation of helicopters and promotes programs that enhance safety and encourage professionalism.
Over The Top have annually qualified since joining the association in 1999; this 2011 award being the thirtieth year that the local company has received the notable honor.
Over The Top are the only New Zealand company to have consecutively qualified for the award from the Helicopter Association International (HAI) for this number of continuous years
Matthew S Zuccaro, President of HAI recognized the outstanding safety record for Over The Top saying “Your achievement not only reflects favorably upon your organization but the entire helicopter community as well.”
CEO, Louisa (Choppy) Patterson, who has operated Over the Top for over 26 years without accident, continues to be delighted on the accomplishment saying her teams’ commitment to safety and excellence has been a top priority since the company lifted off in 1986.
“Over the Top’s philosophy is to operate the latest helicopters available with experienced local pilots and dedicated ground crew to ensure that the helicopter service we deliver in this mountainous environment is extraordinary and safe. The crew are absolutely delighted to again receive this safety award accolade again.”
This latest recognition demonstrates Over The Top's distinctive high standards and reinforces the company's dedication to excellence and safety.
