Shanghai, China – Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts has partnered with Nouvelle Vague, to curate a 24-hour soundtrack for every Le Méridien hotel around the world. Led by music producers Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux, Nouvelle Vague is a collective of talented artists, featuring a rolling cast of popular Parisian musicians. Translated literally as “New Wave” in the French language, the group's music pays homage to the swooping elegance of Bossa Nova, melancholic melodies of the “New Wave” era and 1960's French cinema, providing a modern twist on the classics.
September 19-21, 2014, French Bossa Nova band Nouvelle Vague will entertain in Le Royal Méridien Shanghai and bring their Parisian elegance to the hotel guests. This is the 2nd time Le Méridien hotel worldwide the band has selected for its global tour since its announcement of partnership with Le Méridien to the April 2014. Chinese Singer Song writer Tia Ray will join in the performance and also premiere 1 song from her about-to-launch new album to further enhance Le Méridien's brand spirit.
Le Méridien brand's partnership with Nouvelle Vague honors its French heritage and offers guests a unique 24-hour curated playlist of music that promotes discovery and culture, enhancing the brand's award-winning Arrival Experience in its signature Hubs and public spaces worldwide. The daylong playlist will include original music by the band as well as songs that inspire and stimulate the group.

During Nouvelle Vague's Shanghai tour, they will present a live performance together with Tia Ray at 789 Nanjing Lu bar of Le Royal Meridien Shanghai on 19 September 2014, where guest can experience the new sound of Le Méridien and enjoy the stunning view of Shanghai's skyline. On 21 September, they will bring the new inspiration to hotel's award-winning la Vie en Rose Sunday Brunch. Guests will have the opportunity to discover the well-known la Vie en Rose in a new perspective.
