New Taipei City, May 14 -- Travel with L'Hotel de Chine is an annual marketing campaign held by L'Hotel de Chine (LDC) Group and very topical in the hospitality industry.  Building on the success of LDC's 2011 working holiday that attracted 1,000 candidates around the world to compete for the holiday experience as well as the 2013 campaign of Buongiorno! Travel Taiwan with L'Hotel de Chine, LDC is going to launch its 2014 campaign of Travel with L'Hotel de Chine in a way like monopoly game playing, inviting seasoned travelers of 18 years and older to take part in a primary selecting winners to play the LDC monopoly game and visit major attractions throughout Taiwan by dice tossing.

Free accommodation with daily breakfast and dinner will be available at nine star-class LDC hotels along the tour itinerary, and each winner will also receive a travel subsidy of NT$4,999 throughout the tour.  This event is divided into a group of Taiwan and international entries and a group of Mainland China entries.  All the qualified entries will gather at Palais de Chine Hotel in TaipeiCity on August 12 to start their Taiwan tour and compete for the championship, runner-up, and second runner up.  The championship prize is worth as high as NT$145.000.

LDC, which is committed to promotion of the beauty of Taiwan, transforms the monopoly board game into its campaign of Travel Taiwan with L'Hotel de Chine this year.  During the event registration period from May 15 - July 15, entries should submit creative videos for an online primary vote as well as review by LDC to select qualified entries.  Six teams of qualified entries will depart from Palais de Chine Hotel on August 12.  The team completing the tour the fastest to return to Palais de Chine will win the championship and be entitled to six-night accommodation with two meals provided per day at two LDC hotels in Italy, Relais Sant'Uffizio and Relais Villa Monte Solare, as well as two round-trip air tickets between Taiwan and Italy, expanding the wonderful experience in Taiwan to the birthplace of renaissance.  The runner-up team will receive six free accommodation coupons for Chateau de Chine, Maison de Chine, or Chinatrust and NT$6,000 in cash, while the second runner-up team will also receive three of such coupons and NT$3,000 in cash.  The runner-up and second runner-up prizes amount to a total of NT$210,000.

In particular, this time LDC works with elong.com -- the largest travel website in Mainland China -- and the cooperation is expected to help more than 40 million people there become aware of the event.  According to an estimate made by elong.com, about 400 leading bloggers will register for the stiff competition and only 0.75% of them can actually make it to Taiwan.  In order to encourage participation, LDC will conduct a lucky draw for those who vote in the online primary to select three lucky draw winners entitled to accommodation coupons for Chateau de Chine, Maison de Chine, or Chinatrust.  There is another lucky draw for those who take part in a championship forecast after August 12 to win the same accommodation provided the championship team.  According to Emile Sheng, President of LDC, the 2014 campaign is intended to build the global awareness of 18 LDC hotels including Palais de Chine, Fleur de Chine, Chateau de Chine, Maison de Chine, and Chinatrust as well as two Italian brands to highlight their art and culture features that distinguish them from other hotels in order to help attract more tourists to Taiwan.  Please check out the LDC website at http://www.ldcgroup.com/ or call (02) 2998-6788 ext. 3639 for detailed information of this event.
