The Coyote Trip

The Dragon Trip have launched a new brand called The Coyote Trip focusing on group tours, for young people, in the USA.

The Coyote Trip offers a series of trips in America that take in a whole range of cultural experiences. There are 6 new routes starting from New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles and these adventures take in iconic cities, natural splendour and some epic journeys. What's more- they are all packed with cultural experiences: shooting hoops in Philly, in-line skating on Venice beach, bourbon tasting at sunset in the Grand Canyon, yoga in Central Park, camping in Yosemite, making clam chowder in Boston, doing cross-fit on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and cycling the Cape Cod Shore-line are amongst the myriad of exciting activities on these adventure tours.

Whilst the last year has been chastening for the travel industry and there's been more closures than openings- there still remains excitement and opportunity. The team at The Dragon Trip had been planning to launch a new U.S brand to exist alongside the backpacker tours in Asia. Having had a U.S office for the past few years- the team were inspired by their adventures in America to create a series of incredible trips there. These new tours have the same ethos as The Dragon Trip's tours in Asia. They are packed with cultural activities, designed with budget travellers in mind and take in diverse parts of the country. The tours show off the unmissable sights but also take in the hipster districts and local experiences. What's more- they recruited young, dynamic and local adventure leaders to showcase the very best of America.

The plan had been for the company to launch this brand at the start of 2020 but then COVID-19 hit and the team of directors had to turn their attentions from looking outwards to saving the business. As with so much of the industry, tough decisions were made and the team was significantly cut back. However, the determination to expand and continue to provide transformative travel experiences remained. After stabilising the business – the team decided to press ahead with the launch of The Coyote Trip. The company's directors, Ramsay Kerr and Alex Seigel believe that America is going to be hot destination in the coming years. They say that “the country has not got the best press recently for obvious reasons. However, we've always had such fantastic experiences throughout the states and are eager to show off what we love about the country. It will also help young people to see beyond the headlines and to get a sense of both the natural wonder and the cultural depth of this important nation.” America is certainly turning a new chapter in their history and The Coyote Trip hopes to also be a new start for outbound travel to the U.S for a new generation of young backpackers.

As travel returns in 2021, The Coyote Trip will be there- with their first tours departing in summer 2021 and then a full range of departures in 2022. The tours range in length from 9 days to the 3 week flagship Full Coyote Tour. You can find out more about their tours on www.thecoyotetrip.com
