Innovative productivity tool reduces the time for agents to reissue tickets to as little as two minutes.
Auckland, New Zealand, 10 October 2014: Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, today announces the launch of Amadeus Ticket Changer (ATC) in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, including Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and the Cook Islands.
Amadeus Ticket Changer, which is available free of charge to New Zealand and the Pacific Island agents until 31 December 2014, automates the air ticket reissuing process, preventing errors and significantly reducing time spent on a ticket exchange to less than two minutes.
Fare, tax or penalty collection is automated and guaranteed for the 104 airlines that file their rules in CAT31. Unique to Amadeus, additional collection is also calculated for all other carriers filing in CAT16, saving agents time on almost any reissue.
The solution takes the strain out of changes to cabin, class, route or date, regardless of whether the ticket is unused, partially used or has been reissued previously.
Judith Gurney, Team Leader - Corporate Travel, Travel Tree WA said “Amadeus Ticket Changer (ATC) has reduced my time spent on fare reassessments and reissues by at least 80%. I no longer have to retrieve historical fares, manually work out the difference or cross check penalty fees as ATC does this for me in one quick transaction. It also collects the fees within the same transaction as the reissue. In a fast-paced corporate environment ATC makes an unquestionable difference to our office efficiency."
Tony Carter, Managing Director, Amadeus IT Pacific commented, “After a very suc-cessful feedback from our pilot customers we are very excited to introduce Amadeus Ticket Changer for the New Zealand and the Pacific Islands market. The results are really impressive and the productivity gains give travel agents more time to focus on providing great service.”
