Latin American Travel Trends For 2014

Journey Latin America

Award-winning travel specialist Journey Latin America announces their Latin American travel trends for 2014. See below for their exciting insider tips on up-coming travel trends.

Trends range from Brazil World Cup football trips, to luxury Nicaraguan lodges and food and wine discoveries in Peru.

Brazil is a hot topic ahead of the Football World Cup this summer. At Journey Latin America they have created a one-off Highlights of Brazil Special World Cup Departure which coincides with three group matches: The first in Manaus (14 June) when England takes on Italy, then in Salvador da Bahia (16 and 20 June). The trip departs the UK 7th June 2014 and costs from £4,695 per person based on two sharing. This price includes B&B accommodation, transfers, guided excursions and most meals, but excludes international flights and tickets.

Nicaragua is becoming increasingly popular with an influx of smart new boutique hotels - and is reminiscent of how the Caribbean was 50 years ago. Journey Latin America has created a 12-day Highlights of Nicaragua which visits Managua, Grenada, León and the Caribbean Corn Islands. It costs from £2,192 per person based on two sharing, it includes flights from London, domestic flights, transfers, accommodation and a Granada city tour and a Masaya volcano tour.

Peruvian cuisine has become a real talking point since the opening of several successful gourmet Peruvian restaurants in London. Journey Latin America has crafted a 12-day Culinary Tour of Peru which features chef-guided tours of markets, pisco distillery tours, vineyard tours, Machu Picchu, Sacsayhuamán ruins and the chocolate museum in Cusco. It costs from £3,180 per person based on two sharing, including flights from London, domestic flights, transfers, accommodation and excursions listed.

QUOTE

"With the Dakar Rally coming to Argentina, Bolivia and Chile in January and the World Cup kicking off in Brazil this summer, all eyes are on Latin America for 2014.There is, of course, a lot more to the region than these high-profile events and we are already seeing a huge amount of interest in people wanting to find out what else there is to do and see throughout South and Central America."
