Luxury lodge resort The Sherwood Hideaway has chopped more than £650 off holiday prices in August.

Each of the forest-resort's contemporary cabins is lavishly equipped and has its own outdoor hot tub with views of Sherwood Forest.

The peaceful site offers a complete switch-off for guests who can explore miles of walks and bike routes through the iconic woodland or discover local attractions including pretty Clumber Park, the action-packed outdoor activity centre Sherwood Pines, and the Robin Hood visitor centre and Major Oak – the 1000-year old hollowed out tree said to be a hiding place of the famous outlaw.

On Sundays guests can sign up to hawk walks (£18pp) to fly a bird-of-prey through the forest treetops.
