Santa Monica's Hotel Shangri-La's festive calendar ranges from lavish feasts with traditional festive favourites over the Christmas holiday to one of LA's most glamorous New Year's Eve parties dancing into the night at ONYX. Located on the rooftop, this sophisticated, ultra-chic indoor/outdoor rooftop bar boasts panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and the city, including the Hollywood sign.
Christmas Day Dining:
Dinner at Hotel Shangri-La's ocean view Dining Room promises a meal to remember. All the finest seasonal ingredients are handpicked from the Santa Monica's Farmers Market. Some stand out dishes include: Foie Gras Watercress and Frisee salad, Brioche Toast, with a cherry gastrique; Poached Pear salad with baby mixed greens, Blue Cheese Crumble and champagne vinaigrette; Roasted Turkey with all the trimmings or Grilled Beef Prime Rib with grilled asparagus, potato gratin, Cipollini onions and demi glaze. The featured desserts are Meyer Lemon Crème Brulee, Homemade Chocolate Bread Pudding and Apple Tart.
Christmas Dinner is served from 10am-10pm. Adults are £60 ($75)* per person. Children 12 & under half price and complimentary for five years & under.
New Year's Dining:
There is nothing quite like New Year's Eve at the timeless Hotel Shangri-La. Begin the celebrations in The Dining Room with dinner before starting the big countdown to 2017 at The Masquerade Party at ONYX. Seating reservations are available between 4pm – 9pm for a delicious three-course dinner and complimentary glass of champagne for £76 ($95)* per person.
New Year's Masquerade Party:
With cocktails, canapés live DJs, champagne and dancing into the night, the Shangri-La's Masquerade Party will have all the elements for a not-to-be-missed celebration at ONYX. Celebrate the arrival of 2017 relishing the vibes and the best 360-degree views of the Santa Monica skyline and Pacific Ocean. Starting at 9pm, enjoy a welcome glass of champagne on arrival and at midnight, bites including chocolate covered strawberries, popcorn cones, hors d'oeuvres and a Martini from the Martini Luge to ring in the New Year.
