Langham Place, Beijing Capital Airport has been honoured with eight prestigious travel and hospitality awards since its opening late October 2010. The major new awards in 2011 include: “Best Airport Hotel in China” at the Skytrax World Airport Awards; “Best New Hotel in Beijing” at the TTG China Travel Awards; “Best Cantonese Restaurant” for Ming Court in Time Out Beijing’s Food Awards (Chinese version); and “Best Ribs in Beijing” for Fuel in the The Beijinger Restaurant Awards.

In March, Skytrax announced the winners of its 2011 World Airport Awards, based on survey results from 11.38 million airline passengers across 100 different nationalities.Langham Place,Beijing Capital Airport was named “Best Airport Hotel inChina”, and was ranked sixth best airport hotel in the world. The rigorous and highly respected independent Skytrax survey evaluates traveller experiences at more than 240 airports worldwide across 39 different airport service and product factors, from check-in, arrivals and transfer through to accommodation and departure at the gate.

Also in April, TTG China – a respected travel trade publication – named Langham Place, Beijing Capital Airport as “Best New Hotel in Beijing” at its 2011 TTG China Travel Awards. Now in their fourth year, the TTG China Travel Awards honour the most outstanding travel services providers and partners in MainlandChina, Hong Kong and Macau, as voted by travel industry professionals.

On the culinary front, Time Out magazine – a leading authority on Beijing’s lifestyle, dining and events scene – honoured Ming Court at the Langham Place, Beijing Capital Airport as “Best Cantonese Restaurant 2010” in its annual Time Out Beijing Food Awards (Chinese version). A panel of dining experts, who ate their way around Beijing to select the capital’s finest gourmet experiences, judged the Awards. Ming Court Beijing carries on the proud tradition of Cantonese fine dining excellence started at Ming Court in Hong Kong, which received two Michelin stars in the latest Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau.

Another Langham Place, Beijing Capital Airport restaurant was a winner in English city magazine The Beijinger’s 8th Annual Reader Restaurant Awards. Gastro pub Fuel won the popular vote of local and expat gourmands for “Best Ribs” in the Chinese capital.

The above awards are the latest in a growing haul of honours that the hotel has received since opening in October 2010. Travel & Leisure China also recognized the hotel as the “Top Newly-opened Hotel 2010” in its annual World’s Best Awards.
