After much deliberation the finalists of the 2017 Cumbria Tourism Awards were announced on Wednesday 3rd May. The annual awards celebrate the county’s diverse tourism industry cumulating in a prestigious black tie event, held at Cartmel Racecourse on Wednesday 21st June 2017. Most of the winners from the awards will go on to represent the county at the Visit England Awards for Excellence in 2018.

Holiday letting agency, The Coppermines Lakes Cottages, Coniston have been lucky enough to be shortlisted for not one, but two awards this year. Their nominations see them listed in the ‘Self- Catering Property of the Year’ category and the ‘Wedding Venue of the Year’ category.
