La Manga Club

La Manga Club's status among the world's leading tennis resorts continues to go from strength to strength after netting two new accolades from the globally-respected specialist guide Tennis Resorts Online. La Manga Club's status among the world's leading tennis resorts continues to go from strength to strength after netting two new accolades from the globally-respected specialist guide Tennis Resorts Online.

The famous sports and leisure destination venue in Murcia, south-east Spain, was one of only four European resorts to be chosen by users of the top American website for inclusion in its latest annual poll of the 'World's Best 75 Tennis Resorts', while it was the only one in Spain to feature in its list of the 'Top 25 Tennis Academies in the World'.

The comprehensive online survey asked readers to rate their favourite tennis resorts and training camps, taking into account more than 20 different aspects of a tennis holiday, with thousands of players from all over the world voting for their top tennis destinations.
Boasting world-class facilities including a 28-court tennis centre, La Manga Club regularly hosts Britain's elite players in its position as the official overseas training base of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), while the top sports complex extended its new agreement as the official resort partner for Tennis Europe earlier this year.

Announcing the new rankings, Roger Cox, editor of Tennis Resorts Online, said: “Over the past year, we've been soliciting the opinions of our broad circle of knowledgable tennis vacationers who are avid players worldwide.

“We asked everyone to rate their tennis experience in general, but went further by factoring in such creature comforts as lodging, cuisine, and other recreation as well as their sense of how much value they received for their vacation dollar.

“The competition for places was tight across the board, but all of the resorts and camps listed have a proven record of catering attentively to the needs of avid tennis players.”
Featuring 20 clay courts, four hard courts and four on artificial grass, La Manga Club's 28-court centre boasts some of the finest tennis facilities in the world and a wide range of academies are available to guests of all ages to improve their racquet skills.

A regular host for the world's leading tennis stars as well as staging both Davis and Fed Cup tennis matches,  British number ones Andy Murray and Johanna Konta are among a long list of top players to have used La Manga Club as a training base.

Among its other recent honours, the resort received an 'Editors' Choice Award for Best International Resorts 2017' from Golf Digest magazine and has been voted 'Best Golf Resort in Spain' by UK readers of Today's Golfer magazine for the last six years, while it will host the World Golf Awards for the first time in its history in November.

As well as tennis, the resort's unrivalled facilities as a sports and leisure destination include three 18-hole golf courses and a 2,000sqm spa and fitness centre. In addition, it also features the choice of a five-star hotel, four-star serviced apartments and townhouses and more than 15 bars and restaurants.
