Tennis lovers are being offered to take advantage of some outstanding value and finish the year in style by heading to Spain's La Manga Club to take part in its popular end-of-season Murcia Seniors Tennis Open.

Taking place from November 30 to December 5, the award-winning resort will be staging the event for the 12th year in a row and tournament packages are available from just €298 (approx £250) per person for a five-night stay including tournament entry.

The official overseas training base of the Lawn Tennis Association, La Manga Club has been at the forefront of European tennis for the last four decades, with British number ones Andy Murray and Laura Robson among the high-profile stars to use its extensive facilities, and competition at the event is expected to be as fierce as ever, with the tournament an official Grade Two International Tennis Federation seniors' tournament.

Players will compete at La Manga Club's 28-court academy in a variety of singles and doubles competitions, ranging from over-35 to over-75 categories for men and over-35 to over-65 age groups for ladies, with a selection of luxury tennis and leisure breaks and tennis equipment to be won.

Tournament packages feature five nights' accommodation including breakfast, a gala dinner and prize-giving ceremony, and are available from just €375 (£310 approx) per person in the five-star Hotel La Manga Club Principe Felipe, or only €298 per person in the fully-serviced four-star Las Lomas apartments.

Prices, which are based on two people sharing a room, include entry into two tournaments and free Wi-Fi and resort shuttle bus, while all tournament guests will receive a 25 per cent discount on any spa treatments booked; savings of 15 per cent when eating at any of the resort's Amapola, Asia, Luigi's and La Bodega restaurants and Deli-Café, and complimentary access to Spa La Manga Club's fitness centre, indoor pool, saunas and steam rooms.

Running alongside the golf event, La Manga Club is also hosting the 14th Murcia Golf Open from December 2-6, with both competitions helping to confirm the award-winning sports and leisure venue's reputation as Spain's flagship resort.
